To FWEC members and friends. Science Central is trying to generate interest in the 2nd Annual Trebuchet Competition this summer. Who better than a bunch of engineers, for building and sending a bunch of trebuchets into a competition such as this? A trebuchet is a machine much like a catapult, but powered by gravity and uses a simple lever arm, designed to throw an object great distances with accuracy. This year, the Science Central competition is launching 2-pound bags of flour approximately 150 feet, targeting a 70-foot diameter circle. Get together with (or against) your engineering friends (or interested friends) and join in this fun activity. More information COMING SOON!
